Housing

Thursday, 25 February 2010

Housing is fundamental to a stable, healthy life - it is a base without which few common life goals are achievable and sustainable.

Under Labor, more South Australians are experiencing housing stress.

Between 2001 and 2006, the number of South Australian households experiencing housing stress increased from 41,975 to 55,046.

Housing stress is highest amongst people renting in the private rental market.

A Redmond Liberal Government will target stress amongst this group by striving to make home ownership more affordable, reduce tax and maintain the supply of social housing, particularly in the community housing sector.
